Rick Kunze meeting with Kevin Martin (left and right of center respectively) in 2004, 7th floor conference room, FCC Bldg, Washington DC.  During this meeting Wireless ISP issues and spectrum assignments were discussed and new ideas presented for consideration.  Kevin Martin, then an FCC commissioner, went on to be appointed Chairman of the FCC the following year.  From the efforts of the FCC staff and various Internet leaders in meetings such as this, some very helpful changes and additions were made to the available spectrum for use by Wireless Internet providers.  These efforts helped pave the way for much higher broadband speeds that in most cases are only available from independent Internet service providers like ColusaNET in Colusa CA, where customers enjoy speeds almost unheard of in most cities.
