(This is from an incident that occurred in 2006 in Colusa.)


Reports are coming in left and right of door-to-door salesman going around telling stories that imply that ColusaNET is inferior and/or substandard.  I was personally standing there behind one of these unsuspecting guys as they blatantly lied to the perspective customer right in front of me!  I almost fell over!  I suspected this was happening, but I never thought I'd witness it myself!

He falsely told stories implying specific knowledge of the inner workings of the ColusaNET infrastructure, then went on to specifically state that ColusaNET is inferior to their service because of this or that problem, stories he obviously made up himself.  He mentioned ColusaNET specifically!  I was standing right there!  I literally couldn't believe my ears!  Ever wish you were a fly on the wall somewhere?  That was my 15 minutes as a fly.

Once I interrupted him and advised him that it wasn't wise to do such a thing right in front of the owner of ColusaNET, he promptly excused himself and hurried back to his truck and drove away.  Again, I witnessed this personally.  As a side note, the customer fully recognized what they had just witnessed and signed right up with ColusaNET.  After all, the reality of what had just happened became very clear when the salesman fled the scene without argument.

In all honesty though I have to admit, this was a coincidence.  The only reason I walked up to their door and got to witness this was because the previous home owner had ColusaNET wireless broadband service at this house, but moved across town where we installed new service; I had come to collect the equipment from their previous residence but got to reactivate it with the new homeowner instead.

We've been here since 1996 providing top of the line Internet service.
