| The Colusa County Air
Pollution Control District has the responsibility to enforce local and
state air pollution rules and laws governing open burning of waste
materials, both agricultural and residential.
Each day the California Air Resources Board staff
makes a decision based upon air quality and meteorological parameters
whether it is a burn day or a no-burn day. The District is notified of the
decision and, if it is a burn day, is also allocated a specific number of
acres for agricultural burning.
