Colusa Behavior Health Psychiatric
Consultation Service
Colusa County Behavior psychiatrists Dr. Robert Zadra and Dr. Jerry Owens are available to
make written psychiatric consultation available to the Colusa county wide medical
community. Rather than using time consuming meetings that provide general
information, it was felt that the format of case specific information would have more
relevance to the medical community. We thought that we would use e-mail since
information can be quickly provided to the provider who is asking questions. At the
same time, the information can be dispersed to the other medical providers who may have
faced similar situations who could learn from the question being asked of and answered by
the consultant.
The goals of the service are:
1. Provide psychiatric consultation to primary care providers in a timely fashion.
2. Make the consultation an educational resource to all other interested medical providers
in the county.
IMPORTANT
The consultations will only be provided to those e-mail addresses that have been
confirmed as Colusa county providers.
When asking for consultation, do not use the patient's name or any identification
that would imply who the person is.
The consultation does not have to center around a case, but can be a simple
request for general information.
